Burek is a family of baked or fried filled pastries made of a thin flaky dough known as phyllo. It is very popular in the cuisines of former Yugoslavian republics. It comes in many shapes and sizes, and is typically filled with from meat(burek sirni) and cheese(burek mesni).

Kruhov cmok

Kruhov cmok is a bread made from leftover bread with added bakon, egg, milk, and herbs, and then formed into a loaf or roll, boiled and sliced.

Žganci

This Slovenian national dish, Žganci, is made by mixing buckwheat flour and hot water. As Žganci can be found all over the country, various types of flour (corn, flour, buckwheat) can be cooked in salted boiling water.

Kislo zelje in repa

Kislo zelje, literaly means ‘sour cabbage’, is a traditional staple as ‘Slovenian Sauerkraut’. Here I post ‘Kislo zelje in repa’ which is a delicacy made of soured/fermented cabagge and turnip (in=and, repa=turnips). It is often acommpanied with meat dish as it adds nice aroma and taste to the food.
